I checked my blog traffic source and i realised refzip has been sending traffic to my blog and i decided to google it out and found out the following ;  But what is RefZip.com?

RefZip's site doesn't give much information. It is essentially a search engine, but one that gives visual results as compared to Google's text results. The drawback is that you can see just one result at a time. The benefit is that you can just scroll through the search results.

It does work. I've tried it, and the results are good. And the site is sending me lots of traffic. With a few adjustments, they could become a force to be reckoned with.

It seems that the site was setup and then let to run automatically. The owner, Cheru Jackson, hasn't been seen on social networks (or even the company blog) for months.

How RefZip.com could improve the search:

1. Allow custom searches: tiled results, to allow multiple results to display at one time. This would make searching faster and increase user-ship. For example, a grid of 4 tiles wide by 2 or 3 rows would make it faster to see multiple results - but still using the visual approach.
2. Add adult content filter. I haven't had adult content display (probably because that's not what I'm searching for) but there should be a check box to prevent R-rated material.
3. There should be a clear description of how to boost rankings with paid search. There is a confusing note about an AIID# but no explanation. User data, such as volume of searches and traffic would be useful in helping potential clients decide to list or not.
4. Finally, a way to flag a misplaced search result would result in better searches overtime.

How do I promote a site on refzip.com?
Getting traffic to your site can easily be done just by visiting the site and clicking Promote a Site and you'll be prompted to enter the URL (link) to your site and keywords relevant to your content.
Once your site has been entered you would just search for stuff you're interested in and your site will be promoted in the background for others that use refzip.com to see while they are searching as a commercial break.
You also have an option to enter a REFID which allows you to gain more exposure to your content. Free users are shown every 10 results and REFID subscribers are shown to users every 5 results.
A REFID is optional and you can subscribe to one at anytime for $1.00 for the first month and $9.97 a month there after.
The site is still in developmental stages but provide great results and even new webmasters/bloggers find that they can achieve excellent results within minutes of use.
