Globacom, one of the leading African bandwidth providers, yesterday, signed a second 10-year contract with Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC.
The contract was signed by the two firms at a ceremony at Globacom Headquarters, Mike Adenuga Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Under the 10-year deal, Glo1 Enterprise will provide SPDC with high speed bandwidth link, connecting its operational hubs in Lagos and the Niger Delta. The network solution will provide the oil firm with a seamless connectivity for running data applications, voice communications and video transmissions between the operational hubs.
It is regarded as the biggest bandwidth deal in Nigeria with an enterprise customer.
Globacom’s Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr Mohamed Jameel, noted that the business deal was a continuation of the evolving business relationship with SPDC.
