Allahumma la mani‘a lima a‘tayta, wa la mu‘tiya lima mana‘ta, wa la yanfa‘u dhaljadd minka aljadd
O Allah: verily, none can ever divest him whom You decide to give; and none can ever give him whom You decide to deprive, and nothing can ever stop that which You decide. Still On Rajab
Rajab is the seventh month of Islamic calendar .It is one of the four sacred months (Al-Ashurul hurum). Others are Dhul-Qidah,Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram . During this month fighting is forbidden . Muslim are encourage to move away from all sin and increase in acts of goodness (e.g iman, ibadah, kindness etc.
The month of Rajab marks the beginning of the spiritual season of every believer and ending with the end of the fasting month of Ramadan with the Eidul -Fitr.
On the act of goodness in the month of Rajab, the prophet (s.a.w) did not recommend any special Nawafil for the month or special fasting or fasting all the days. There is no denying the fact that fasting in some days during the month of Rajab is one of the acts of worship which a Muslim could engage in during the month , but it is bid’ah (innovation) to fast the whole of the month or attribute special reward for it fasting. According to the scholars of hadith there no authentic report from the prophet that states that.
All that have been related concerning it is not strong enough to be used as a proof. Ibn Hajar says : ‘’There is no authentic hadith related to its virtues, not fasting during it or on certain days of it, nor concerning exclusively making night prayers during that month ‘’.
