Harry Redknapp has drawn up a list of summer transfer targets featuring Didier Drogba, David Beckham and Scott Parker.
The Tottenham manager is also interested in Lille’s Eden Hazard - regarded as one of the best young players in the world - as he tries to strengthen his squad and get back in the Champions League after missing out on the top four this term.
Redknapp’s plans include keeping many of his key players and highly-rated Luka Modric, under-fire keeper Heurelho Gomes and injury prone Ledley King will all stay.
Striker Jermain Defoe, however, cast doubt on his future at the club today by admitting he is frustrated at a lack of firstteam opportunities. Although funding will be fairly limited this summer, Spurs expect a busy close season and will begin discussions with Beckham over a move.
