The Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency,( LASAA), on Wednesday, said it had employed 1,000 youths to rid the state of all election posters across all the local Government of the state.
The Managing Director of LASAA, Mr. Tunji Bello Make this known at the launch of the “poster clean-up campaign,” , He said the renewed effort is geared towards cleaning up the state with a view to restoring its beauty which the agency believes had been altered by posters pasted in all parts of the state.
Bello who disclosed that the agency was compelled to allow pasting of election posters prior to the election, said the decision was aimed at warding off accusations of partisanship leveled against LASAA.
He revealed that the period of this last general election would be the last time that party candidates would be allowed to paste posters along the highways of the state, saying anyone seeking to paste posters can only do so in designated areas of the state.
