How to apply for Nigeria visas

Visa Application Guidelines

Entry Visa/Freezone Guidelines:

a.       Visit the Home page of Nigeria Immigration Portal https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/index.php/pages/visaguidelines
b.      Locate & click on the appropriate application form to start the process:
i.            Entry Visa/Freezone Application Form

c.       Fill the Application form; check the ' I ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS FORM ' check box.
d.      Click on 'Submit Application' button to view ‘Applicant details page’
e.       Click on “Proceed to Online Payment”
f.       Click to select Payment Currency “Pay in Dollars” option then Click on ‘Continue’ button

For SW Global LLC Payment

i.            After clicking the payment mode you'll be presented with an Application Cart where you can add a number of applications before making the final payment.
ii.            You can add new applications by selecting 'Add New Application' button or add an existing application by clicking 'Add Existing Application' into the cart.
iii.            If you are adding existing application to the current cart, it will be removed from the cart it was attached to and will be added to the current application cart.
iv.            If you are adding existing application to the current cart, it will be removed from the cart it was attached to and will be added to the current application cart.
v.            Once you are done with adding all the application to the cart. Please proceed to payment by clicking 'Continue for payment' button and then select 'Start Payments'
vi.            Portal will ask you to review your cart before proceeding to make payment.
vii.            You can edit your cart by selecting Edit Cart at the bottom of the cart details table or you can continue with the payment by selecting SW Global LLC checkout button.
viii.             
ix.            Click on ‘SW Global LLC’ button to display Order details
x.            You will be prompted to select Log In to SW Global LLC using: “Google-OpenId”, “Yahoo-OpenId” and “SW Global LLC-OpenId” Account
xi.            If you intend to login by “Google-OpenId” Account click “Google” button,
a.       Create a Google Account to Continue or Sign in with a Valid ‘Email Id & Password’
b.      Privacy page will be shown up, which will ask you to allow SW Global LLC to access your account information
c.       Click on Allow button
d.      You will be redirected to SW Global LLC
e.       Provide Contact Address and Mobile number and Click on ‘Submit’ button
f.       For making payment please provide Billing Information(Exact as mentioned to Card statement) and Card Information and Click on ‘Make Payment’ button
g.      Displays message “Thanks < Your Names >, you’re done! Your order has been sent.”
xii.            If you intend to login by “Yahoo-OpenId” Account click “Yahoo” button,
a.       Create a Yahoo Account to Continue or Sign in with a Valid ‘Email Id & Password’
b.      Privacy page will be shown up, which will ask you to allow SW Global LLC to access your account information
c.       Click on Agree button
d.      You will be redirected to SW Global LLC
e.       Provide Contact Address and Mobile number and Click on ‘Submit’ button
f.       For making payment please provide Billing Information(Exact as mentioned to Card statement) and Card Information and Click on ‘Make Payment’ button
g.      Displays message “Thanks < Your Names >, you’re done! Your order has been sent.”
xiii.            If you intend to login by “SW Global LLC openID” Account click “SW Global LLC openID” button,
a.       Create a SW Global LLC-OpenId Account to Continue or Sign in with a Valid ‘Username & Password’
Steps to create new SW Global LLC-OpenId account
 
·         Click on ‘Register Now’
·         Provide Details and Click on ‘Submit’ button
·         Confirmation mail has been sent to your Email id
·         To activate your Account Click on activation link provided in your Email id
·         You will be prompted back to SW Global LLC
·         Click on “I AGREE” Button
·         To continue with the payment, Please go to the window on which you have clicked on ‘Register Now’ link
·         Please Enter your Username & password and Click on ‘Login’ button
b.      Provide Contact Address and Mobile number and Click on ‘Submit’ button
c.       For making payment please provide Billing Information(Exact as mentioned to Card statement) and Card Information and Click on ‘Make Payment’ button
d.      Displays message “Thanks < Your Names >, you’re done! Your order has been sent.”
g.      Please take your visa payment receipts, passport and other documents to the Nigerian Embassy in your Country of abode on your slated interview date for your Visa.
h.      Please note that you can reschedule your interview date to the next available date by sending your Application id, Reference no and the proposed date to our support mail address (nis-support@socketworksng.com)

Tourist / Visitor Visa:

a.       Passport valid for at least 6 months.
b.      Duly completed visa application form
c.       Two recent passport photographs
d.      A Letter of invitation from a company/host in Nigeria accepting immigration responsibility.
e.       Visitors/tourists are required to show evidence of sufficient funds
f.       Evidence of online payment for visa fee

Business Visa:

While a -f above apply, self sponsored business men may not require letter of invitation but will be required to show evidence of sufficient funds

Temporary Work Permit Visa (TWP):

a.       Passport with at least 6months validity
b.      Printed copy of completed application form for visitors pass
c.       2 recent passport photographs
d.      A cabled copy of Comptroller General of Immigration Service's approval

Subject to Regularization (STR) /Employment Visa:

a.       Passport with at least 6 months validity
b.      Completed visa form in quadruplicate with four recent passport photographs
c.       Four copies of letter of Expatriate Quota Approval from Ministry of Interior
d.      Four copies of credentials, certificates and curriculum vitae, all vetted by a relevant official of Nigerian High Commission / Embassy (English Certified translated copy where applicable)
e.       Four copies of letter of offer of employment
f.       Four copies of letter of acceptance of offer by expatriate
g.      Receipt of on-line payment receipt of Visa fee


 



Re-entry Visa Guidelines:

a.       Visit the Home page of Nigeria Immigration Portal
b.      Locate & click on the appropriate application form to start the process:
i.            Re-entry Visa Application Form
c.       Click on 'Submit Application' button to view ‘Applicant details page’
d.      Click on “Proceed to Online Payment”
e.       Click to select Payment Currency “Pay in Naira” option then select PayType (payment method): “Bank” , “eWallet” or “Credit/Debit card”.
    1. If you intend to pay at a bank, selected “Bank” and click continue,
i.            View the list of participating banks and then click on ‘Continue’.
ii.            The “Print Acknowledgment” button will help you print “Payment Acknowledgment Slip” with Transaction ID, Application ID & Reference Number.
iii.            With the copy of your Payment acknowledgement slip, proceed to a participating bank for payment.
iv.            On making payment at the bank, you MUST be issued with a Pay4Me ‘e-receipt’ that contains “Validation Number”. You will need the “Validation Number” for confirmation of payment on the portal.
b.      If you intend to pay through eWallet online payment, select “eWallet”,
i.            You will be required to fill in your eWallet log-in credentials. If you are not registered as a user, go to “Register for eWallet”.
ii.            After filling in, click “Login” button and you will be sent to the payment portal
iii.            For proceeding with the payment click the “PAY” button. The payment will be successful only if your account balance is at least as big as the total payable amount.
iv.            After payment, the “Validation Number” is generated. Store it and use it to confirm the payment.
v.            You can also print a receipt by clicking the “Print the Receipt” button.
c.       If you intend to pay through Credit/Debit card, select “Credit/Debit card” and click continue,
i.            You will be required to fill in your eWallet log-in credentials. If you are not registered as a user, go to “Register for eWallet”.
ii.            After filling in, click “Login” button and you will be sent to the payment portal
iii.            For proceeding with the payment click the “PAY” button.
iv.            Payment portal display application details, click on “Continue” button.
v.            You will be prompted to “Value Card” payment page, provide information of your card & Click on “OK” button
vi.            After payment, the “Validation Number” is generated. Store it and use it to confirm the payment.
vii.            You can also print a receipt by clicking the “Print the Receipt” button.
