THE ongoing verification exercise ordered by the Federal Government for its pensioners Monday claimed the life of an 80- year-old pensioner; Olusa Ayodele, who slumped and died while waiting to be screened in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Late Ayodele according to investigation, retired in 1984 from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture.
The deceased who was said to have been brought to the venue of the screening exercise by his 30-year-old son Deji, died before he could be rushed to the hospital.
Before he gave up the ghost, the deceased was said to have vomited twice after he arrived the venue from their Akumu Akoko country home.-Vanguard
