National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has adopted the e-clearance method of clearing its regulated products at the nation’s ports to ensure that imported goods are cleared within 48 hours.
As part of efforts to ensure Federal Government’s mandate to implement the use of this method, the agency organised a workshop aimed at providing stakeholders with the basic knowledge of e-clearing operations as it concerns its regulated products at the ports and borders.
Speaking with stakeholders at the workshop, Paul Orhii, director general of the agency, noted that a major demand of the government’s 48-hour clearance policy was the need for trade facilitation.
