The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, over the weekend described the victory of the party in the supplementary election in Imo State as a mass revolt against perceived mal-administration of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, government in the state.National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Benard Akoma, In a press statement issued in Abakaliki, added that Okorocha did not win the election out of his excellent political campaign organisation nor his spending. He said the victory was a result of a general resolve by the people to effect a change in the state.
He said: “APGA’s victory in Imo State was a mass revolt against a perceived mal-administration of PDP government in the state.
The party stated that despite the fact that its candidate, Mr. Rochas Okorocha, joined the governorship campaign less than two months to the election, it remained remarkable the level of support that accompanied the election as people funded most of the campaign activities on their own.
