Voting has been concluded in Maiduguri and many parts of Borno State and early reports are in favour of the Presidential candidate of the CPC, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Results announced by returning officers in some polling units including government house, Hausari Zango, Dala, Lagos House, Ibrahim Taiwo, Kalomi post office and Gwange showed that Buhari had more than 5000 votes while Goodluck had about 1,500; followed by Nuhu Ribadu of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) with 23.
